Bach Ascending’s founding President, Mark Berry, passed away in February 2023 after a long illness. To pay tribute to his memory, the Board of Directors unanimously decided to rename the Bach Ascending Scholarship for Young Artists to The Mark Berry Scholarship for Young Artists. As Mark was so supportive of young people in the arts, we feel this is a perfect way to honor his legacy as the scholarship grows year by year.
