5th Annual Bach Marathon

The 5th Annual Bach Marathon will take place Saturday, March 21 (Bach's actual birth date, using the calendar in Bach's day) 2026. Start practicing now!

PRIZES:

• $250 best overall performance
• $100 most promising young musician/artist (high school senior to 7th grade)
• NEW! $50 rising young music/artist (6th grade and younger)
• $100 most creative performance

GUIDELINES:

Please note that this year we invite submissions in the visual arts. For a display reservation, contact Tom White, Artistic Director.

Please sign up for one slot. If you need more than 5 minutes, you may take up to 4 consecutive slots.

All instrumental and vocal performances are welcome. Solos, duets, and ensembles are also eligible.

Selections may be as short as 2 minutes, but not exceed 20 minutes. All music must be composed by J. S. Bach, be an arrangement or adaptation, or be Bach-inspired. Examples include a piano arrangement of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," a saxophone transcription of "Bist du bei mir," or a Jazz improvisation on a chorale.
