Alice, who was a recipient of last year's scholarship, will return this summer to Montana Fiddle Camp. Here she is pictured with the legendary Bruce Molsky. Alice is a homeschooled 11th grader in Rincon, GA.
In her essay Alice wrote:
"Apart from classes, Montana Fiddle Camp is a great place to go to make connections. As I've now learned, connections are the most invaluable thing in this industry, and the amount of amazing talented, hard-working, and like-minded people I've met there is insurmountable."
A 10th grader at Richmond Hill High School, Macey plans to attend the Reinhardt Piano Festival this summer. She is a student of Sara Leote.
In her essay Macey wrote:
"There are times where I have imagined never experiencing the piano and how my life would be so different. Sometimes in my dreams I look at my keyboard and try to play but no painting is created, the muscle memory is gone and the feeling of playing simply never existed. When I wake up in the morning I realize that the piano, and simply music, has changed my life forever and more than likely will continue to as long as I live."
"[The Atlanta Baroque Orchestra] was an absolutely perfect finale to an amazing series. The talent we get to experience in these performances is awe inspiring!"
" A world-class series for a world-class city!"
"The venue at 6 E. State State is ideal for the intimate music presented in this series. All the performances I have been to were very well performed and well attended. I can't wait for the next one!"
Host venue: Lutheran Church of the Ascension
